San Francisco Community Health Center was approached by Filter Magazine, an online health and policy publication, who wanted to do an article on how Asian and Pacific Islanders experience drug use and what strategies are being implemented to reduce its impact. They particularly wanted to know more about TACE and the intersections of being HIV Positive, marginally housed and being on drugs for the API’s we serve. So our very own Angelina Huynh really stepped up, spoke on our behalf and is featured in the article. This piece really tries to give an over view of API’s experience with drugs and features a comparative view from health providers in New York as well as some other areas. Please take a read, its great exposure for us but more importantly a topic that really isn’t discussed in API communities or the mainstream.
