San Francisco Pride 2019
June 26th – 30th 2019
San Francisco Community Health Center has long history participating in San Francisco Pride which is quite fitting because this year’s Pride theme is “Generations of Resistance.” Activities include “Walk with Pride” Pre-Party, Trans-March, SFCHC Pride March Contingent and the Asian and Pacific Islander Stage and Pavilion.
National API HIV/AIDS Awareness Day 2019

Since 1987, our organization has stood at the frontlines in the fight against HIV/AIDS in the API community. In 2005, we commemorated this ongoing fight by establishing the National API HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on May 19th. Fourteen years later, we continue to celebrate our community and raise awareness of the prevalence of HIV/AIDS within the API community but also to ensure that there is a representation of APIs within HIV/AIDS-related research and policy.
National Transgender HIV Testing Day 2019

A National HIV/AIDS Testing and Community Mobilization Initiative Engaging the Transgender Community. Also a discussion with community leaders on the topic of HIV criminalization in the transgender sex-worker community with Toni Newman, Diana Feliz Olivia and Carol Henry. High-Impact HIV Prevention Summit 2019

SFCHC’s Capacity Building & Assistance Team is excited to have our 2019 High-Impact HIV Prevention Summit, themed “Care Smart, Work Smart.” The Summit is targeted at direct service providers and frontline staff across California, and will be based around the HIV care continuum. Featuring conversations and workshops about innovative prevention strategies and the challenges of doing prevention work, this two-day event is a space for frontline staff to network with their peers and gain new skills and knowledge.
The Pearl Gala: Rising Together To Advance Health In Our Communities

The Pearl Gala is San Francisco Community Health Center’s celebration of health, wellness and equality with emphasis on people of color, LGBTQ and homeless or marginally-housed communities. The evening features an opening reception, a sit-down dinner, a live auction andafter party with special recognition of those who uplift health.
Folsom Street Fair 2018

San Francisco Community Health Center participated in Folsom Street Fair 2018 with our Folsom Fantasy Forest cutouts for people to take pictures. We also highlighted Trans:Thrive and The Connection in addition to providing HIV testing.
SF Pride Parade & Trans March

SF Pride Parade and Float! Nominated for best overall float! Celebrating 30 years of being in the community and our rebranding to San Francisco Community Health Center. At Trans March in Delores park we provided HIV testing, information on our trans clinic and transformation booth allowing people change their cloths.

This pre-pride party / open house celebrates our newly redesigned center by inviting our community to hear about our programs and services.
National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Here we commemorated May 19th, National Asian and Pacific Islander HIV/Awareness Day at the University of California, Irvine. The evening forwarded our “Love&Solidarity” campaign that called for greater awareness of PrEP use, HIV Testing and Treatment as prevention methods for ending HIV in API communities.
The Pearl Gala

The Pearl Gala is our annual event celebrating the advancements in LGBTQ health at the Ritz-Carlton. This year was our 30th year anniversary as well as our announcement of our rebrand from API Wellness to San Francisco Community Health Center.

Tenderloin Cares or affectionately TLC was our fall series open house, where we invited hundreds of our community members in our center for a hot meal and offer a wide range of medical and support services.
