Audra Severson is a Chicago/Oak Park native and graduate from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Promotion. Prior to joining SFCHC, Audra served as a manager for the Mount Sinai Hospital Infectious Diseases Clinic at Sinai Health System in Chicago’s North Lawndale and Englewood communities. During her time at Sinai Health System, Audra worked collaboratively with executive leadership to integrate an opt-out routine screening algorithm to ensure all patients who present to Emergency Departments are routinely screened for HIV and/or hepatitis C, unless the patient declines the test.  Audra has 10 years of clinical experience that includes administrative and direct services for HIV and hepatitis C prevention, linkage to medical care and treatment. She has eight years of experience in community outreach, grants administration and policy development. In her spare time, Audra enjoys traveling, going to concerts or music festivals and spending quality time with her family including her adorable yellow Labrador named, “Nala.”
