Pamela Tassin has 20 years of HIV capacity building assistance (CBA) experience. She was raised in Omaha, Nebraska and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska. As a formally trained classroom teacher and public health educator, her greatest focus has been training and technical assistance in HIV-related evidence based interventions, organizational infrastructure and program sustainability, with the provision of services to organizations at regional and national levels. Specialized interests include community-based prevention interventions specific to people living with and vulnerable to HIV, particularly women and girls of color. Pamela is excited to join SFCHC as this will be her third CDC-funded CBA cycle and she expects great things. Pamela is always happy to chat about her Chihuahua “Mouse” and she loves travel, nature walks and bird watching.
