We are thrilled to share our 2024 Impact Report! This report highlights the profound difference we've made in addressing the interconnected issues within our communities. Our 2024 report will provide a comprehensive look at the ways we've expanded our services, introduced new programs, and deepened our commitment to providing high-quality, culturally humble health care for the most marginalized members of our community.
In 2020, the San Francisco Community Health Center (SFCHC) faced unprecedented disruption due to the global pandemic, prompting the issuance of a shelter-in-place order in mid-March. Despite the chaos, we remained steadfast in its mission to serve the most vulnerable in the community, deploying teams to the streets and encampments of the Tenderloin. This report highlights our achievements, impact, and stories of hope from patients.
In the midst of a global pandemic, escalating gun violence, Supreme Court rulings impacting reproductive freedom, and the looming threat of Monkeypox, the San Francisco Community Health Center (SFCHC) remains steadfast in its dedication to providing quality healthcare for everyone, advocating for reproductive health access, empowering Trans communities, and addressing the needs of marginalized populations, including those who are unhoused. Despite confronting challenging realities, we have expanded our programs and outreach to better serve our community.
In the 2022–23 fiscal year, SFCHC has maintained a strong presence in the community, yielding significant results as the world recovers from the worst of COVID-19. Notably, we honored Nancy Pelosi at the Show of Hope Gala. We celebrated the opening of a groundbreaking Trans: Thrive facility in March 2023, along with the expansion to seven sites and partnerships.
