Collective Action in Action—Night Navigation Team
Code Tenderloin provides nighttime engagement and navigation, seeing over 5,200 people between 7pm and 3am since the program started, while our very own Andrew provides the follow-up case management and linkage to care, treatment, and resources.
Recently, the TLNN program joined in on a pilot program to support people who use drugs with direct access to medically assisted treatment, specifically treatment for opioid use, and a stabilization room for 7 days at the Adante Hotel.
Andrew, Shannon, Taylor, El, Stephanie, Erin, and the rest of the incredible Street Medicine team have been supporting this initiative and it has been very successful with 92% starting treatment after being placed at the Adante and staying on it during their stay. Big shoutouts to Sam, Vera, Mauricio, Alexis, and Yuvy for providing additional support and weekend case management at the Adante too!
Many clients move on to residential treatment, detox, or shelters and navigation centers. The goal is to expand this program to different sites across San Francisco. Click the link below to watch!
