Sage comes with an abundant community work experience. She was an Operations Ambassador for Five Keys, she worked with unhoused individuals residing at navigation centers and organized a weekly LGBTQ support group and had her early learnings of how to de-escalate conflict as it rose.
Sage then went to work at Prison University Project in San Quentin. As a College Prep English Instructor. She facilitated classes for student inside the prison system in obtaining their associates degree. Sage then moved on then moved to Openhouse LGBT Senior Center as a Housing & Resource Navigator. Her role entailed assisting seniors submitting affordable housing application and referrals and organized and published a monthly affordable and low-income housing lists and news to and low-income housing lists and newsletters to 8,000+ community members and service providers in Bay Area. Sage skills proved to be more effective when she made a move to St James Infirmary as a Lead Administrator . This role provided Sage to gain a vast amount of work experience from managing schedules, hiring, correspondence to referrals and folks on the waitlist, grievance reports and more.
All these experiences came together and landed her as the Prevention Case Manager of STAHR. Immediately, Sage has diligently showed her enthusiasm by learning and understanding how the STAHR Program makes a positive difference to our clients’ lives.
She is currently working on her master’s in social work at CAL State East Bay and in her free time, she a mother to two beautiful cats and enjoy playing and listening.
Sage has been working in the San Francisco transgender and queer community for nearly a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Francisco and is working on her Masters of Social Work at Cal State East Bay. In the past, she served as a Community Advisory Council Member for the Transgender District, Lead Administrator for St. James Infirmary, and Housing Navigator for Openhouse.
