Shalini is so excited to be serving as a social worker and therapist with HIV Services, where she provides additional clinical support and individual therapy to HIV positive individuals who are receiving case management services.
She has over a decade of experience working with individuals impacted by challenges such as homelessness, substance use, severe mental health diagnoses, chronic illnesses, and incarceration. She completed a concurrent masters' program in social welfare and public health (MSW/MPH) in 2022, and is committed to providing compassionate mental health services while simultaneously working to reduce health disparities.
Shalini has previous experience working with multiply diagnosed individuals in hospitals, outpatient clinics, street-based outreach, and residential settings. In all of her work, regardless of settings, she grounds herself in values of harm reduction, strengths-based approaches, cultural humility, and collaborative learning as a means of providing supportive, patient-centered care.
